Thank you for being here with me.

I’m so delighted to have you join me in this space for p.e.a.c.e. talks - a space for reflection, reconnection, and reimagining.

This is space where I write about the threads that bind us – people, the environment and animals – and the compassion that empowers our coexistence and makes it meaningful. These short essays are personal reflections, small stories, inner dialogues, and quiet reckonings with the world and within myself. I write from my human experience, not expertise. From love, not certainty.

I believe that peace is not a point, but a rhythm. That kindness can be a form of resistance. That the way we treat each form of life – a spider, a tree, ourselves – can shape the way we hold the entire world.

I work in animal welfare, where I advocate for a world that recognizes the sentience, dignity, and worth of all life. It’s a role that mirrors what I write here: the hope that tenderness, even in small acts, can be transformative.

I started this publication to face my own fears. For years, I wrote in silence – unsure if my words had value, or if I had the right to call myself a writer. But something in me shifted. A soft but firm nudge toward courage. Toward sharing. Toward showing up honestly, even when my voice and pen shake.

You won’t find instructions or polished perfection here. What you will find are open-hearted musings, the occasional ramble, and a quiet invitation to remember what matters: love, presence, dignity, compassion, action, choice, and the wild, radiant worth of all life.

Thanks for being here. I hope something you read helps you feel a little more connected – to yourself, to the earth, to our animal brethren, and to each other.

With much love and gratitude,

💖🌺

A bit about me …

I’m a long aspiring writer, a lifelong animal companion, an ever-becoming mother, and a barefoot dreamer. I’m Canadian-Pakistani, living in Switzerland with my husband, our two children and three cats.

I write from quiet corners — between knowing and not knowing, between courage and hiding in the warm folds of my cat’s belly, between what I feel deeply and what I’m still finding words for.

I believe in a world where animals and nature are seen as kin, where compassion is a revolution, and where hearts too loving to stay silent still speak.

I’ve never published a thing. But I’ve filled notebooks in secret, scribbled truths I wasn’t ready to say out loud, written love letters to the universe, whispered to trees, and know the smell of my cat’s paws by heart.

Maybe that counts. Maybe that’s enough to begin ✨.
